“The power of the human form is unlike anything else an artist can have as a muse.” Jeff Weekley has found the secret of combining line, form, color and shadow to explore the human figure to create these reflective narratives with universal appeal.
Curious and timeless, Weekley’s paintings empower his young and vulnerable subjects to observe the wonder that encompasses them, and challenges their thoughts for a way to navigate forward.
Birds and animals, books, water and storms are some of the iconic imagery he employs to create the enigmatic ideas in his paintings. The fresh faces and bare feet create a natural tension between their naivete’ and the worldly surroundings. More recently his young models find themselves interacting with today’s cultural characters and symbols with a splash of humor!
His paid young models/muses are the daughters of friends as well as his own granddaughter. They love being his inspiration!
