A new artist at Roby King Gallery from J Go Gallery, Park  City UT.

Dee Dee Lantzy’s work is a combination of mixed media and resin on panel creating imaginative aerial landscapes.  Dimension is created with integrated origami forms of cranes or butterflies.  Often using maps as the folding paper adds another territorial aspect.  Dee Dee has created two pieces using maps of Bainbridge Island for the cranes.  It’s another subtle and interesting addition to these very tactile works.  Gold paints and glass chips add” shimmer” to these flowing organic shapes.

Lantzy grew up in the mountains of Vail, Colorado and earned a degree in Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University.  She was an integral part of the design team for both The Mondrian Hotel and The Flamingo on Miami Beach.  She designed large scale residential projects on Long Island in New York and other commercial and residential projects throughout the country.
