Marty Rogers

A consummate watercolor painter, so that in 1996 American Artist Magazine sought out Rogers to explain her process. She is a master at laying down washes, layering color upon color to achieve rich complex color variations. Her vast foregrounds grab and hold your eye, before meandering back through the composition to find a small country house or truck.  Country themes abound, and are skillfully and freshly rendered from the heart.  “Through my art, I want to express the objects beauty or it’s sadness…”
